Social Planning Pilot Course

Why?

I have people reach out to me regularly about their interest in social planning. When I scanned through different schools and programs, there aren’t too many resources or courses available for people to further explore social planning while they are in their studies at school or expanding new planning skillsets in their current planning profession.

What would this look like and who is this intended for?

I am currently gauging interests to pilot a small cohort (3-6 people) to help with new course content and feedback. The intent of this course is to provide practical information, approaches and tools to those who are aspiring to and/or working in planning.

What content would be discussed?

The content discussed would be topics that social planners are currently dealing with.

Check back on this page for when the course syllabus would be uploaded (early March 2026)

When would this start and what is the time commitment?

An initial look at April 01, 2026 to May 27, 2026 looking to start with 4-6 modules. The class time commitment of each module would range from 1.5 to 2 hours. This does not include time outside of class for readings.

How much does this cost?

TBD

Where will this be held?

For the first series, the course will primarily be offered online . There may be opportunities at the end of the course to meet in-person to get together, celebrate and debrief on the course.
